Margie Heisler, a pioneer in the field of student organizing, is passionate about educating and instilling organizational and time management skills to students and adults. As the founder of An Organized Student, an innovative organizational skills training company, Heisler has successfully taught valuable organizational skills to many; empowered students, educators and adults with strong organizational strategies to meet the challenges and workload of school, home, business and life.
Heisler has enjoyed 35 years in the organizational field and is recognized for her work in creating systems and processes for corporations, businesses and academic institutions. By focusing her efforts through hands-on involvement and supportive contribution within the community, she has enhanced her knowledge and expertise in working with organizational challenges of all kinds. Over the years she has chaired committees, participated on various boards and panels, taken active leadership roles in the community through her involvement in seminars, educational sessions and workshops, as well as spearheaded enrichment programs and classes.
Heisler is a member of numerous professional organizations. She has taken an active role in the National Association of Professional Organizers and has become a certified instructor for NAPO in the Schools, a highly regarded community outreach program introducing the benefits of basic organizing principles to students in the classroom.
Her writing has appeared in regional publications and numerous online forums. Most notably, Heisler has authored An Organized Student: Your School Life, an innovative book and CD training/Internet-based course targeting disorganized students, and designed to teach them organizational and time management skills that are essential for a lifetime of personal and academic success.
Residing in suburban Chicago and a parent herself, Heisler has had plenty of first-hand experience, having raised and taught her own three children the organizational and time management skills needed to help them become productive, self-assured individuals.
